Corn Sticks - Sorullitos
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups corn flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 cup grated Edam cheese, optional
Cooking oil
Place milk in a medium saucepan and bring to boil. Remove from heat; add flour, sugar and salt mix thoroughly. Cook over medium heat stirring frequently until mixture separates from bottom and sides of pan. Remove from heat; add cheese if desired and mix well. Take mixture by teaspoonfuls and shape into balls, then hand roll into 1/2 inch rolls. Deep fry in hot cooking oil for 2 or 3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain.
